Writing Art: A Writing Map for Art Galleries

€6,00

All of life is there in a good art gallery. Paintings and photographs make worlds available to us – landscapes, people and objects that might take us time and money to come by. Paintings teach us to be specific and precise, to avoid generalisations.

The writing exercises on the Writing Art writing map will inspire you to create new stories, and also suggest ways of using what you write in art gallery to enrich the stories you're working on, as well as ways of expanding your initial "sketches" in the gallery. Although devised to be used in art galleries, these exercises will work just as well if you're working with postcards, art books, or images online, in a library, a classroom, or at home.

The Writing Map is devised and written by Shaun Levin with illustrations by Mstr Gringo. The A3 map (297x420mm) folds into A6 (105x148mm, postcard size), and is printed on recycled paper in England.

NOTE: Some content not appropriate for writers under 16.
