Land ( ) scapes is a collection of poems and short stories written in the quiet of Sunday evenings, just before the new week begins. Over two months, we turned our attention to the natural world, not to describe it from a distance, but to sit with it, to remember, to listen.
From sea to skull, lotus to bear, A flash of antlers. Missing the hush of snow. The sudden joy of a squirrel, the insistence of moss, each piece captures a flicker of nature’s power to disrupt, enchant, and reorient us.
These pieces are moments of noticing, shaped by wonder, and a sense that nature, even when we're not looking, is always close. This is not nature writing in the traditional sense, but a series of meditations on what it means to be in a body: rooted, moving, feeling.
The collection includes stories and poems by Gwen Casey, Laura Davis, Valerie Fox, Pia Goddard, Caroline Jenner, Joanna Kania, Mona Lindqvist, SJ Lyon, Bob Merckel, Julian Mithra, Cynthia Saunders Reed, Ann Tudor, Rachel Wolcott, and Holly Woodward.
