Write Through School: A Writing Map from Classroom to Staff Room
Our school days are a compendium of complicated, funny, passionate and awkward stories. Even if you live to a hundred, you'll have spent over 10% of your life at school. That's more than enough subject matter for any writer to work with.
These creative writing prompts will help you transform some of that material into intriguing and complex stories. Write about classrooms and break- times, teachers, school trips, bullies and favourite subjects. This is not homework.
The Write Through School Writing Map is devised to suit writers at all stages of their association with school: whether still in class, recently graduated, or those looking back with nostalgia or horror. School's out! Now, write!.
The Writing Map is devised and written by Shaun Levin with illustrations by Steve Wiltshire. The A3 map (297x420mm) folds down to A6 (105x148mm, postcard size), and is printed on 170gsm bond paper in England.
NOTE: Some content may not be appropriate for writers under 16.
